Design Challenge:
The theme of this edition is EXPERIENCING THE CITY. It is meant as an opportunity to think about the present condition of urban public spaces, to promote an idea of well-tended, shared city, experienced proactively, properly designed, and managed in a responsible and sustainable manner. The goal is to offer to the public and to companies a new key to interpret modern urban spaces, reviewing them according to a design approach that promotes involvement, sharing, socialization, communication, entertainment, multi-ethnicity, suitability for all ages and genders, reception, and tourism. The aim of such design is to create permanent or temporary outdoor furnishing items and accessories to turn car parks, city parks, historical centres, roads, street markets, shopping malls, squares, and public concerns into pleasant, comfortable, easy-to-manage places, where one can feel at ease and find an incentive to use.
