Mirko's not going anywhere

Mirko Zardini (via The National Observer)

What’s going at the Canadian Center for Architecture? Is Mirko Zardini, its longtime director, leaving Montreal for a sunnier climate?

The Canadian Government has posted a job description for his position, but Zardini says he is not going anywhere. In fact, in a telephone interview with AN, he says he is not sure he wants to be at CCA for life, but made it clear that there should be a long-term succession plan. Zardini maintains his job posting is simply a government requirement for him to maintain his residency in Canada.

So don’t send in your resume for the director’s position; Zardini is not going anywhere. He has helped make the CCA one of the most exciting architecture exhibition centers in the world and it would be a shame to see him move on.
