10 Questions: What is a Body?

November 6, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm PST

In the fall quarter of 2018, the UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture presents the inaugural offering “10 Questions,” an interdisciplinary course/public event series featuring conversations with leading scholars from across the University. Every Tuesday evening for ten weeks, four UCLA faculty members from disciplines as diverse as dance, medicine, photography, astrophysics, athletics, Chicanx studies, law, philosophy, religious studies, and more will join Dean Brett Steele to explore one question each week, stimulating dialogue and exchange, and seeding a greater understanding of the profoundly interdisciplinary nature of knowledge production in the 21st century.

Both an upper division undergraduate course and a series of public conversations open to the broader community, “10 Questions” will provide a platform for vibrant conversations that engage multiple disciplinary viewpoints.

Art&Arc100: 10 Questions sessions will be held on Tuesdays, 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Kaufman 200 with discussion sections on Fridays. Enrollment is restricted to School of the Arts and Architecture students during first pass, open to all students during second pass. Find Art&Arc100 on the registrar’s website here.
