The Black Alunni of Pratt Hosts 27th Annual Celebration of the Creative Spirit Gala

The Black Alumni of Pratt Institute will host its 27th Annual Celebration of the Creative Spirit Gala, a benefit honoring individuals and companies in the world of art and design, whose accomplishments and values resonate with those of Pratt Institute on Tuesday, May 9 at the Park Hyatt New York.  The 2017 Creative Spirit Award Honorees are conceptual artist Fred Wilson and casting director and advocate of model reform laws James Scully.

Funds raised from the gala will, in part, assist BAP to continue providing talented students of African and Latino descent with stipends, academic scholarships, and summer pre-college program scholarships for those in high school.  As a special programming note, the evening will also salute Dr. Thomas F. Schutte for his nearly 25 years of service as he steps down as Pratt Institute’s 11th president this year.
