The Spring School ‘Borders are for Crossing is an 80 day program organized by the Independent School for the City and CANactions School, exploring how the intra-European transfer of people, ideas, goods and finances effects spatial, social, economic and political conditions in a western city. Together with an international group of participants and a multidisciplinary team of tutors and lecturers, you will research manifestations of migration and develop stories, strategies and actions for an urban renewal area in the City of Rotterdam: Oud and Nieuw Mathenesse, former workers and harbor areas between Rotterdam and Schiedam.
