Description
The construction industry remains one of the last to experience significant process improvement as a result of the economic, legal, operational, technical, and environmental influence affecting our global economy. It is imperative that owners, architects, engineers, and construction managers embrace policies, processes, and technologies that have revolutionized the manufacturing industry in order to reduce risk, waste, and energy consumption, while improving quality, safety, and speed to completion.

By incorporating Prefabrication, Pre-assembly, Modular, and Off-site Fabrication (PPMOF) and leveraging the potential of the supply chain, teams are reducing costs by 40% and driving schedule savings of 35%. Approaches to PPMOF are emerging in all markets as a means to combat safety risks, supple chain demand and to optimize design through the use of Design of Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) principles.

Learning objectives

How design technologies reduce waste and energy consumption
How early collaboration improves coordination and speed of completion
How prefabrication reallocates manpower and reduces safety claims
How prefabrication assures compliance and improves quality
Lunch is provided only to those registered in advance.
