CTASLA: Plugs and Containers, Grown Plants in Landscape Design

August 4, 2015 @ 8:45 am - 2:00 pm EDT

Landscape plugs are becoming a solution for many design challenges. This program will reveal how plugs are grown, how they are used in design, and what it takes to establish them in successful landscape applications. We will also explore plants grown in containers and how they are established in the landscape, and engage in a “hands on” discussion about some common plant issues. The program will conclude with tours of Prides Corner Farms’ expansive nursery and wholesale yards.

Modules include:
Landscape Plug Solutions: A Behind the Scenes Look at What Makes Planting Projects Successful

Using Plugs in Landscape Design

Installation and Maintenance of Plugged Landscapes – The First Years

Understanding the Role of Containers in Successful Tree and Shrub Installations

Disease, Structure, Habit and Quality: A Hands-On Learning Session

CEUs: 4.25 PDH/HSW (LA CES), 4.25 LU/HS (AIA-CES)
