The technological disruption of architecture and building is accelerating, creating new opportunities and risks for Architecture, Engineering and Construction professions. Innovators from both inside and beyond traditional AEC sectors are finding new ways to capitalize on technology driven change, creating new businesses and business models to address opportunities in the rapidly evolving landscape of practice.
What are the future models of practice? How will the existing industry organization evolve to capitalize on new opportunities? Will players from outside be the ones to finally disrupt the entrenched AEC culture? What is the spectrum of career opportunities for those entering the workforce at the intersection of design, construction, and technology?
The 2017 Digital Building Lab Symposium at Georgia Tech will address these critical topics for the future of technology and practice, through panel discussions, workshops, and new AEC entrepreneurship initiatives. The DBL Symposium is one of the key venues of BuiltTechWEEK 2017 – a weeklong series of conferences and events focusing on built environment technology as an emerging market for high tech entrepreneurship.
BuiltTech will be held October 2-6 in Atlanta and is developed in partnership by the DBL, Supernova South, and DesignIntelligence. To register or for more information please visit the DBL Symposium or BuiltTechWEEK 2017 web sites.
