Flavor Paper: Reinventing the Art of Wallpaper

Jon Sherman, Founder and Creative Director of Flavor Paper, the Brooklyn-based wallpaper company, will discuss how he created a company – in the spirit of Frank Lloyd Wright’s approach to architecture – to revolutionize wallpaper for the modern age. Hosted in the Frank Lloyd Wright’s Darwin Martin House Complex, Sherman will speak to how he founded Flavor Paper to change the old, boring stigma behind this time honored product. He developed hand-screened and digital production methods to create bold and innovative designs —from the first commercially produced scratch-and sniff wallpapers to custom toile prints with a twist. Most recently, Sherman worked closely with the Andy Warhol Foundation for Flavor Paper’s second installment of Andy Warhol-licensed artwork transformed for the wall.
