The drawings and paintings of architect Tiffany Lin hover at the intersection of intuition and analysis – combining a crisp architectonic rigor with lyrical lines of expressive representation. For Lin, architectural form and painting composition are reciprocal components of her design process. Each mode of inquiry is deeply engaged in a “context” of lines and planes that coalesce in the space and figures of her work. Thus the work presented in this exhibition may be read as depictions derived from architectural observations, or as generative fields of spatial investigation. – Scott Bernhard, AIA
