MASS: Seeking Abundance

Join MASS Design Group for an evening with The Architectural League of New York, as part of their Current Work lecture series, which examines projects and firms enacting new modes of architectural practice, collaboration, and community engagement.

The program will begin with a moderated conversation featuring seven of MASS’s Principal leaders: Jha D Amazi, Christian Benimana, Jonathan Evans, Patricia Gruits, Jeffrey Mansfield, Jean Paul Sebuhayi Uwase, and Caitlin Taylor. We will share our practice model and design methodology, while highlighting a number of current projects across the United States and abroad that seek to address issues of housing security, criminal justice reform, racial reconciliation, disability rights, resilient food systems, and climate change.

The conversation will be followed by a roundtable Q&A with the entire Principal leadership team, including Sierra Bainbridge, Justin Brown, Regina Chen, Kelly Alvarez Doran, Rosie Goldrick, Christopher Kroner, Anton Larsen, Ashley Marsh, Sarah Mohland, Julie Rhoad, Alan Ricks, David Saladik, Adam Saltzman, Amie Shao, Katie Swenson, and Peter Torrebiarte.

The program will be moderated by Quilian Riano. Riano is the interim dean of Pratt Institute’s School of Architecture, the founder and lead designer of DSGN AGNC, and Vice President for architecture of The Architectural League of New York.
