Flores & Prats are an architecture studio founded in Barcelona in 1998 that combines project design and construction with a strong focus on academic activities at a number of universities. After their experience at Enric Miralles studio, Ricardo Flores and Eva Prats developed a career where research is always linked to the responsibility to make and to build, in order that the projects are made, built and so they can participate in the free of interpretation that provides the finished work.
The critic Miquel Adrià has said about them: “They say that Enric Miralles continued to draw a project, even if it had already finished building. Some of this also occurs in the work of Flores & Prats, in the measure that there is no beginning and end of a project or a work, but a narrative continuum that leads from a project to another, which weaves together themes, programs, scales, anecdotes. His projects are stories”.
This Thursday, May 20, at 1:00 pm (GMT-5), the Architecture and City Festival presents a conference by the firm in which they will present some of their most recent projects, such as Sala Beckett.
