Net Positive Energy Event

December 8, 2015 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm EST

In the United States, building operations are the single largest user of energy, representing 41% of the nation’s total primary energy consumption, the majority of which is sourced from fossil fuels. This relatively quiet, seemingly benign activity is our single largest contributor to climate and environmental issues.

Please join the AIA Committee on the Environment and the Philly Living Building Challenge Collaborative as we host a conversation about “Net Positive” Energy. We will review the LBC energy requirement of producing 105% of the project’s annual energy use and hear from some Energy experts. Then we’ll dig into a few projects to see how they measure up against the performance based criteria of the Net Positive Energy Imperative.

We’re excited to have, our speakers to help get the conversation started.

-Tim McDonald with Onion Flats
-Rob Diemer with In Posse
-Adam Agalloco with the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability
