Preliminary Research Office presents Notes on Techniques, an exhibition which walks through six architectural objects with accompanying notes, presenting various methods for assembling and manipulating geometry. These models and their adjoining notes in drawing, text, and 3D form, will span two galleries, creating an all-encompassing entry into their world.

Preliminary Research Office is a team of international designers researching and practicing architecture and urbanism. PRO was started in New York in 2015, and has since moved to Los Angeles. The firm’s partners, Yaohua Wang, Dingliang Yang, and Chloe Brunner, met while studying architecture and urban design. The three partners enjoy open-ended exploration and like to search for hidden rules and geometry in everyday life.
