Curated and guided by the award winning architect Christopher Rawlins, author of Fire Island Modernist: Horace Gifford and the Architecture of Seduction and founder of pinesmodern.org, this guided house tour showcases the best of vintage Pines modernism. Six homes will be opened to the public on Saturday 9/9, Sunday 9/10 and Saturday 9/16 from 2.15pm until 6pm each day. A champagne reception at a featured home concludes each tour. In addition to the interior tours noted below, this walking tour of the Pines will pause outside of notable structures. Attendees should wear comfortable shoes and sun protection. Due to the age of the buildings and the nature of the boardwalks, handicapped accessibility is limited.
