Written agreements on a construction project, whether an AIA form document or otherwise, are critical and a good, productive relationship with the owner during the negotiation of the agreement is essential to a project’s success. The content of the agreement and the negotiation process provides an opportunity for design professionals to set the relationship with the owner on a firm and a productive course. Design professionals can take advantage of this opportunity, but only if they have a full appreciation of what is critical for the agreement.
This program is part of a series of conversations related to Un/Fair Use, an exhibition of research and proposals related to copying and copyright in architecture.
