Soapbox on Sustainability: Climate Change, Reaching Out to Everyone

July 27, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm EDT

Gather and hear what you have to say.

Soapbox on Sustainability is an interactive open-mic happy hour—it’s all about hearing from you. It is open to all professions, industries and perspectives; we want voices from all corners to come and speak their mind, especially those we have not heard from!

This month’s topic is Climate Change, Reaching Out to Everyone

  • Sometime between July 10 and 12, the crack along the Larsen C ice shelf that has been monitored for decades finally gave way, creating an iceberg the size of the state of Delaware. We should end bickering and begin a dialog with those who may seek the same.
  • “If you ask Republicans, ‘do you want to accelerate the move to clean energy?’ you get 75% of Republicans who want that… The Republican elected officials are in a very different place on energy and climate than Republican voters.” —Tom Steyer (see link no. 1).

Please join us for a talk on communicating. A talk to see how we may share and learn from those who do not always agree with our views. A few links to get you primed:
