What makes a great neighborhood? Open House New York invites you to explore a cross-section of sites–from design studios and fabrication shops to cultural facilities and local landmarks–to consider the mix of spaces, large and small, that work in concert to create a dynamic urban environment.
For one afternoon, Field Guide: North Brooklyn will open the doors to a wide variety of spaces across Williamsburg and Greenpoint for tours, talks, and demonstrations. One of the most important industrial hubs in the country through the 20th century, the area is today emblematic of how the forces of gentrification are transforming large parts of New York. Open House New York invites you to explore these dynamic neighborhoods at a transitional moment in its history.
