Join us for an evening of light & art, as we celebrate the opening of REFRACTION at the Edison Price Lighting Gallery. REFRACTON features artists who work in, or are inspired by, light. REFRACTION recasts light from the backdrop to the lead actor. Light’s refracted forms are everywhere, in the everyday and the sublime, the natural and the human-made, the literal and the abstract.
5:30 – 6:30pm: AIA & NCQLP credit Art of Lighting tour. The Gallery’s lighting designer Rick Shaver will lead a tour of art lighting techniques through the new exhibition.
6:30 – 9pm: Opening Reception. Enjoy live jazz guitar, and beer and wine produced by our neighbors: LIC Beer Project, brewed just 2 blocks away, and Rooftop Reds, NYC’s first rooftop vineyard, just 6 miles away.
