The Skyscraper Museum Reopens with Free Admission!

July 15, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm EDT

Free

The Skyscraper Museum returns to public hours on July 15! The gallery at 39 Battery Place in lower Manhattan will be open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from noon to 6pm. Admission will be FREE, but timed-entry reservations are required.

The Museum will offer Free Admission through January 2022, thanks to generous support from Turner Construction, AECOM Tishman, DeSimone Consulting Engineers, Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, The Feil Family Foundation, Thornton Tomasetti, and Pelli Clarke Pelli. Carol Willis, the Museum’s founding director notes, “We’re thrilled to be able to offer Free Admission through at least January 2022 and believe this will both increase access to our exhibitions for all New Yorkers and help generate tourism downtown.”

The gallery reopens with the exhibition
SUPERTALL 2021!, a survey of 58 skyscrapers worldwide that are taller than the Empire State Building, at 1,250 feet/ 381 meters, which the Museum uses as a benchmark for supertalls. The show features a dozen recently completed towers that represent some of the most stunning new architectural forms and innovative approaches to structural engineering in the world today.

Guided gallery tours are available for groups by appointment booking on Mondays through Wednesdays.
