With the start of a new year comes new exhibition schedules and programming from museums, galleries, and cultural institutions around the globe. As in year’s past, AN editors have rounded up a few of 2024’s forthcoming exhibitions, installations, and retrospectives on our radar. From a look into how the built environment is illustrated in children’s books to a show on biophilic design, here is a robust roster of exhibitions opening this year in New York City, Texas, Germany, Canada, and more.

In the coming months look out for reviews of these shows in print and online, and in case you missed it check out our round up of some of the most thought-provoking, eye-opening, and stimulating exhibitions AN covered in 2023.
